In the fall everyone in the congregation is encouraged to participate in this church wide mission by providing a gift to share God’s love to children around the world through a gift-filled shoebox. Shoeboxes and brochures will be available at the front of the sanctuary. Collection date is November 15. During December, Zion volunteers will go the Charlotte Processing Centers. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old. To learn more about Operation Christmas Child click here: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/

heifferHeifer International Project
Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth. Heifer links communities and helps bring sustainable agriculture and commerce to areas with a long history of poverty. Their animals provide partners with both food and reliable income, as agricultural products such as milk, eggs and honey can be traded or sold at market. Each month a new animal is introduced to the church during children’s time. The offering the children give at children’s time goes to the animal of the month and on the last Sunday of each month the church is asked to give to the heifer project.
