The Choir Corner

Music is a very important part of worship at Zion. The choir and its members are busy doing God's work on Sunday, plus entertaining at other functions and meetings throughout the year.

We are often asked to provide music for:
-----The senior luncheons
-----UMW programs
-----Special music (solos, duets, etc.) when needed for other services
-----Caroling to our homebound friends in the community at Christmas

We perform two cantatas each year at Easter and Christmas. And call to worship and anthems are a part of each Sunday's 10:30 a.m. worhsip service. We enjoy singing traditional music and allow the youth groups to sing the contemporary music.

There are 18 members of the choir - sometimes more or less - all volunteer. Some read music; some do not; it just doesn't matter. If God has given you a talent or a love for singing, we welcome you to come and join us! We work very hard on Wednesday nights, but we also have lots of fun.

Choir practice is each Sunday from 7 - 8 p.m.
